Much To Blab About: Repurposing Your Recordings

By | Webinars | No Comments

Blab 15Days Tiffany Parson

Next week, I’m hosting a #Blabinar: 5 Ways to Repurpose Your Recordings.

It doesn’t matter whether you have audio, video, or both,

Imagine what would happen if you let the information, that already exists, work for you.

  • If you have trouble putting thoughts into words or words on paper…This is for you.
  • If you have a folder reserved for your mp3s and mp4s yet have only used them one time or never….This is for you.
  • If you have several projects you’d like to complete such as an ecourse, ebook or report, but put it off until you can find the time…This is for you.

This Blabinar could easily be named 10 Ways To Repurpose or 15 Ways to Repurpose, the possibilities are endless as to what you can do.

I’ve narrowed it down to five. Five manageable repurposing techniques using one recording.

The holidays are quickly approaching…..heard of Black Friday?…It will be here before we know it. This #Blabinar can help you get a jumpstart on your special offer.

My first Black Friday Offer in 2011 was a set of ebooks based on my first podcast on BlogTalkRadio. It was a matter of selecting which audio files to use and putting them in order so each chapter flowed into the other.

You’d be surprised how many pages you speak. 20 minutes gets me 5 pages using 12pt font size. What you had 60 minutes?

This is just one example of repurposing, there’s more…

You don’t want to miss it! By the end of our time together you’ll:

  • Know which recordings you want to repurpose. In fact, you might have your files uploaded to Dropbox to be transcribed before I can say ‘are there any questions’.
  • Discover how much time you can save by recording once and using the information again and again. No more one hit wonders.
  • Have a list of five ways to repurpose your recordings along with a plan to get it done.

Imagine recording something once and being able to use it at least 18 different ways.

There will be-

A replay. However it’s a lot more fun when you show up LIVE! You never know what happens before or after the record button is turned off. Only those participating in the Blab get their questions asked right then and there.

An Action guide and #Blabinar cheatsheet. You’ll want to take lots of notes PLUS I’ve got some action steps for you making it easy to map out your projects. A ready made plan + existing content = Time Saved

More information. I’ll share your next steps and how you can put everything we discuss in motion. All with saving time in mind so you can focus on revenue generating activities.

Did I say you don’t want to miss it? You don’t want to miss it.

Make it FABULOUS!

 Action breeds confidence- 1st Blab!

Everything I loved about my first Blab-

  • It was imperfect
  • I was nervous with the software but comfortable blabbing with Golda (watch)
  • We had static
  • There was an echo
  • My lighting was non-existent
  • We laughed
  • We shared tips
  • Strangers showed up
  • Strangers became community, no longer strangers 🙂
  • One even came on webcam with us (Hi June)
  • We took Action!

Going again and I want you to join me- Wednesday, September 2nd at 1PM or 8PM Eastern, you get to choose 🙂 Before I jump to all of that, in case you’re wondering, what? What are you talking about Tiffany?

What is Blab? What does it do?

Blab is live streaming app for computer and mobile. You can have up to four people on webcam just like web chatting and Google Hangouts.

There’s a difference here, it’s public (no private blabbing). Anyone can request to come on webcam with you. You of course, have the option to accept or not. You can also lock the open “seat”.

One major thing I’m waiting for, is the ability to do screen sharing. Right now it doesn’t have that.

Next week, I’m hosting a Blabinar (online seminar using Blab). Can you come?

It’s about mapping click through funnels from beginning to end.

When it’s time to create and actual product such as a free offer, digital product, or online event, we focus most of our energy on just that and nothing else.

What about the after?

What did you want to happen long after someone absorbed your content? Was that it or did you want them to take another step?

Like most of us, our customers won’t take another step unless we provide what that next step is. Whether you are launching a free offer, product, or online event, or need to revise what you currently have, this blabinar is for you.

  • Discover how to map out your click through funnel from start to finish
  • The biggest mistake business owners make when it comes to click through funnels
  • 5 essential elements needed before you start any click through funnel
  • How a virtual team can help you keep the main thing, the main thing (content and community)

You don’t want to miss it!

Tiffany On Blab

Have you heard of Periscope? The best description I’ve seen is on Marie Claire:

“What is Periscope? And what does it do?

Periscope is a “live video streaming platform”, which basically means you can transmit a live recording of yourself to your Persicope and Twitter followers. Imagine Skyping someone, but instead of video calling a single person, you’re instead linked up to the whole community. Not only that, whoever’s watching you can comment and ask questions. These show up on your screen whilst broadcasting making it easy to answer and interact.

That sounds just like a webchat or Google Hangout…

It basically is. The big difference though is that it’s designed as a mobile app, so people use it frequently and off-the-cuff when they are out and about. Also, because Periscope is owned by Twitter, it automatically links up with your Twitter account. This means when you do a live transmission it appears on your Twitter newsfeed making it easier to build up followers from the word go.”

What about Blab? And what does it do?

Blab is similar to Periscope EXCEPT

  • up to four people can be included on the video chat
  • you can host blabs from your computer or mobile device

Blab is similar to web chat or Google Hangout EXCEPT

  • currently you cannot share your screen
  • there is no way to make your blabs private

Next week, I’m hosting a Blabinar (online seminar using Blab). Can you come?

It’s about mapping click through funnels from beginning to end.

Previously, you created and focused a good portion of your energy on the actual product itself such as your free offer, digital product, or online event, etc. Everything was centered around the process of what happens before and during. However, what about the after? What did you want to happen long after someone absorbed your content? Was that it or did you want them to take another step?

Like most of us, our customers won’t take another step unless we provide what that next step is. Whether you are launching a free offer, product, or online event, or need to revise what you currently have, this blabinar is for you.

  • Discover how to map out your click through funnel from start to finish
  • The biggest mistake business owners make when it comes to click through funnels

The ‘Web’ In Webinar, Does Not Stand For WebCam

By | Webinars | No Comments

Who says you have to be on camera during your webinar. There is no webinar rule that says: You Must Be On Camera In Order To Host A Webinar.

Although attendees are able to see your “visual aids” for the event, that doesn’t mean you have to be one of them. It’s rare for an hour long presentation to only show the speaker’s webcam.

There is no webinar rule that says: You Must Be On Camera In Order To Host A Webinar. And no, I don’t mean you have your virtual assistant come on camera for you. In fact, webinars don’t require a camera at all.

Your participants have come because they are interested in what you have to offer. Yes, it’s a chance to get to know you live and in the flesh. However, if you’re a bit shy to get in front of the camera, that shouldn’t stop you from hosting your own webinars.

I’d like for you to take a quick second and think about the last webinar you attended. Including webinar replays, how many webinars have you seen where the host was on camera?

For every webinar you’ll want to include one of the following:

– A PowerPoint presentation shared during your webinar. Of course, it should be an interesting and engaging PowerPoint and not the old fashioned style that’s really just your notes on screen.

– If you’re doing a training webinar, attendees want to see what you’re doing. Your webcam video in the corner may be a distraction. Getting rid of it leaves more room to show your screen. Let your audience see what you are seeing as you bring them along, step by step.

Use a picture of yourself during the presentation as opposed to coming on screen.

Who says you have to be on camera during your webinar. You can choose to say a quick hello on camera or not come on at all. If you’re providing great content during your presentation your audience won’t even realize you weren’t on camera.

Don’t let the fear of being in front of the camera get in the way of hosting a webinar.
