Why Use Social Media?

I was slow to get into the Facebook and Twitter game personally because well, I didn’t have a whole lot going on. And did people really want to know my favorite books, tv shows, or that I was on my way to the gym? I’ve since learned differently.

Years ago I presented in home art shows. During that time I learned it took at least 8 times for someone to see my door hanger, flyer, or voice mail message before responding. Social media allows you to do this very easily without feeling like a pest. You can present yourself, your product, and your business again and again.

Social Media:

  • Allows your following to get to know not only your business, but you as a person
  • Gives you more opportunity to establish a relationships
  • Gives you an opportunity to present your offerings again and again

The people followed most are:

  • Engaging
  • Warm
  • Personable
  • Provide valuable content
  • Communicate several times daily
