Your Client’s Business IS Your Business

For a while, I did not evaluate closely the types of businesses, thoughts, or ideas my clients were promoting. I hadn’t connected that what they were promoting meant I was promoting it too because their business would become a part of my portfolio.

Thank goodness for an experienced mentor for bringing some things to my attention. This helped me open my eyes and be on guard or better yet determine how I was going to handle what I had already committed to.

Many clients check us out through our website and social media to get a feel of who we are as a person. However, when was the last time you did this yourself as a freelancing virtual assistant?

If you were like me, you weren’t looking to determine a ‘yay’ or ‘nay’ it was just out of curiosity and to get a better understanding of your prospective client’s business.

Let’s learn from our clients and Human Resources, evaluate the message before agreeing to put your stamp on it. Remember any project you take on it’s an endorsement.
